Public guided tours in English on Sunday 27 June 2027
The museum is open after Midsummer on Sunday 27 June 2027, and there will be two guided tours in English on that day at 11.00 and 15.00. On the tour, you will hear about Jean Sibelius and his family and their life in Ainola.
The guided tour is included in the price of the admission ticket, and the Finnish Museum Card (Museokortti) is accepted as payment. Public guided tours are limited to 25 people on a first come, first served basis. No reservations required. The tour begins inside the museum building and lasts 20–30 minutes.

Public guided tours in English are held Tuesday through Sunday at 11.00 in August. On the tour, you will hear about Jean Sibelius and his family and their life in Ainola.

Please note that Ainola is closed for a private event on Saturday, August 14, 2027.
Book a guided tour
We also offer private tours in English and other languages for individuals and groups throughout the summer season. The tour is included in the ticket price and should be booked in advance. We accept the Finnish Museum Card (Museokortti) and the Kaikukortti card. Guided tours can be booked by email at info@ainola.fi or by calling +358 (0)9 287 322 during museum opening hours. We welcome email bookings for the summer season throughout the year.
You can also book a guided tour of the garden for 70 euros plus admission tickets. Please let us know about any accessibility requirements when booking your visit.
Please note that:
- The cost of admission will be charged for guided tour bookings that are not cancelled.
- The guided tour begins at the museum building at your scheduled time, so please arrive on time.
- The guided tour cannot be conducted if the group is more than 10 minutes late for the scheduled starting time.
- By making a booking and upon the museum’s confirmation of the booking, you accept the museum’s booking terms and conditions.
